This project studies the structural assembly of the Japanese Fukuoka baseball stadium and proposes a new design iteration that preserves the structural and operable characteristics of the original dome to create a new operable stadium on the Allegheny River. The new dome structure contains the same division of structural and sliding elements as the precedent. The panels are divided in smaller pieces and matche the geometry of the secondary structure, rotating independently with a parametrically controlled rotation angle. Modeling was done in Rhino3D through Grasshopper, with rendering in V-Ray.
